AFTER_LIFE (2020): A (Short) Film Review

Going into isolation/quarantine recently because of COVID-19 (stay safe, people!) feels a lot like the beginning of a sci-fi film as we all try to piece together somewhat of a semblance of normalcy in a time where we throw such a concept out the window. Recently, I was again invited by Perry Lam, director of the last short film I reviewed, Tony, to take a look at his new film, AFTER_LIFE, which is yet another interesting short film set right here in sunny Singapore.

And in a time where social distancing has become the norm, a film that dives into our emotions and feelings in such a trying time can be something we all need right now. So let’s dive right in.

Sonic the Hedgehog – A Film Review

Sonic the Hedgehog was never on my list because I would think it’d be a good film, it was there simply out of curiosity just like Detective Pikachu was. It didn’t help that the first trailer also featured one of the greatest travesties since… well, *gulp* Death Note, not the anime, the terrible Netflix movie adaptation.
