2021 – Year in Review Part 2 – TV Series: An Opinion Piece

2021 was quite an amazing year for a lot of things – yet a lot of crazy things also happened at the same time. We all thought the pandemic would be over by now, yet here we are in 2022, still living alongside it. Disney+ filled in the gap of the MCU with new streaming series and we’re still wrapping up with Hawkeye. Netflix was no slouch either, with one particular series, Squid Game, becoming the #1 streamed show worldwide.

However, as I looked back on what I’ve watched in 2021, I found myself in love with so much more series than I was in 2020 and that was mostly because there were simply so many to watch. So this will be my 2nd part in a set of 3 where I make a throwback on recommendations to what I enjoyed and would love to recommend anyone that might have missed them. So let’s dive right in!

2021 – Year in Review Part 1 – Movies: An Opinion Piece

When we first entered 2021, we thought we’d left behind the dumpster fire year of 2020 but how wrong were we? We started the year with the White House getting stormed and ending the year with yet more COVID-19 news. However, the year was not all doom and gloom and it was a wonderful year for movies, anime and drama series, with Netflix and Disney+ truly becoming integral parts of our lives.

Last year, I took a look at the best movies, dramas, and anime I watched in 2020 and ranked them. This year, however, was a tough one. There were so many good movies, series and anime that I decided to make a 3 part look back on the year with recommendations for each so you can find some gems to start the year right.
